Thank you for visiting my website. My name is Carlos Flores. I have a PhD in Electronics and 25 years of professional experience in embedded devices and since 2009 I offer my services as a freelance consultant and developer for embedded software.
Over the years I have collaborated with many clients to bring their electronic products to market.
My main expertise lies in embedded software (C / C++) development for microcontrollers and SoCs. I have strong knowledge in the Bluetooth stack (15 years) and NFC / RFID protocols. I have also worked with many other communication protocols, mainly on the application layer. I have developed solutions involving the use of diverse sensors and microcontroller peripherals. I enjoy making connectable devices work efficiently keeping a clean and well organized source code.
In addition to embedded programming, I have also contributed to projects in two other areas: hardware design (PCB) and mobile application development. This experience allows me to have a thorough understanding of systems and contribute to the quality of the complete environment.
I have been involved in a wide range of applications including audio devices, access control systems, security and alarms, indoor location tags, and remote sensing.
I am flexible and versatile in the way I collaborate with clients. I can offer complete solutions or be part of your team. I have worked in Scrum-managed teams, contributed documentation to knowledge databases, and used version control tools.
